This year's competition for the 41st annual Elks "Hoop Shoot", the national free throw shooting contest for youngsters ages 8 through 13, will be held at the Willamette High School gym on January 26 beginning at 9:00am. There is no charge for participants and others to attend.

Ages 8 & 9 shoot at 9:00 am, 10 & 11 shoot at 10:00am, and ages 12 & 13 shoot at 11:00am.

Eugene winners will compete in this year's district competition against the winners from Albany, Corvallis, Cottage Grove, Lebanon, Sweet Home and Springfield.

District winners will compete in the State contest on February 9 in Salem. The national finals are to be held in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 20.
